PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (S)

 

Monitoring and Evaluation Manager - Global Fund, Save the Children International, Country Office, Kathmandu, Nepal

[November 2015 to present]

 

The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager is primarily responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of M&E system for overall Malaria Grant of the Global Fund Program of the Save the Children. However, M&E Manager need to eventually oversee M&E matters related with HIV & AIDS Grant in supervision of Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Manager. Ensure that all data collected, compiled, analyzed are accurate, appropriate, complete, consistent, and timely. 

 

Lead to establish and strengthen M&E system for Malaria Program of Global Fund Grant at central level and provide Technical backstopping to field level to achieve the programmatic performance of the program.

 

The M&E Manager will also ensure that the programs are managed as per the National and Global Fund guidelines and protocols. Working in a team M&E Manager will be responsible to manage M&E staffs of Malaria project, develop M&E framework including designing tools, methods and process for monitoring of the project to ensure to track progress and results. S/he will also be responsible to lead the development of M&E system including reporting formats for SRs in collaboration with technical team. M&E Manager will also guide and provide technical support for operation research, studies, surveillance & surveys for Malaria related activities and dissemination of the study findings. S/he will also provide technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation, periodic assessment of the SRs, prepare trimester progress reports for LFA, Government, Global Fund and others as required. 

 

Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator - Global Fund, Save the Children International, Country Office, Kathmandu, Nepal

Lead in preparing M&E plan, work plan, and performance framework and make necessary modification as required. Work with M&E Manager in identifying capacity building needs of SRs and government and identify M&E system gaps.  Take lead in organizing and carrying out capacity building activities including coaching and mentoring for M&E staff of SRs with the support from M&E Manager. Lead in preparing monitoring tools, reporting guidelines and data keeping, collecting and are reporting tools for SRs as necessary with technical support from M&E Manager. Lead in reviewing progress, and preparing consolidated M&E report. Work with technical team of GFATM New Funding Model (NFM) for developing/ reviewing work plans, performance framework, M&E matrix and data collection tools.  Work with Coordinators/ Managers for ensuring that information gathered are used for making programmatic decisions at all levels. Regular field visit to provide technical assistance and ensuring the reliability and quality of data. Review and compile monthly / quarterly/ semi-annually and annual reports from the field and ensure quality reports are submitted to GFATM on timely manner as required. Work as an active member for strengthening overall M&E system of the agency.

 

 

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - Global Fund, Save the Children, Country Office, Kathmandu, Nepal

Responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation of GFATM R7 to provide technical support to Sub Recipients (SRs) and the GFATM team in country office, especially in planning and designing M&E system and tools; developing recording and reporting forms/formats/templates following the GFATM standard M&E tools, M&E plan and M&E Manual; prepare monthly analytical reports, develop concept paper, presentations and data verification system. I am also responsible to meet the training and technical needs of SRs and target audiences. I am working as a focal person when it comes to information/data collection and compilation; data verification at the source; timely submission of the reports; monitoring and supervision of the field activities and coordination with the SRs and stakeholders at the project sites.
